FAQ
Does the Ecomat 2000 have a standby mode?
Yes, once the desired temperature is reached all models switch to standby after 15 minutes. Of course, if the room temperature falls below the chosen temperature the device starts heating again.
Can the Ecomat 2000 models also be used just as a fan?
Yes, all models can be operated as a fan only by switching the heating off.
What maintenance do I have to do?
Depending on use, the filter at the back should be cleaned or replaced regularly.
What protection class do the Ecomat 2000 models have?
All models have protection class 1.
Do the Ecomat 2000 models have a frost protection function?
Yes, reliable frost protection can be selected via the specially-developed electronic thermostat. With the Ecomat 2000, only high quality ball bearings are used in the fans, which start up without any problems even in the critical temperature range of +5°C to -20°C.
How much space can I heat?
60-80 m³ depending on the insulation.
What power supply do I need?
All models require 230 VAC and 50/60 Hz.
How long have the Ecomat 2000 models been in production?
We have been producing the devices for industrial and private use for over 30 years.
Are the devices suitable for continuous operation?
Yes, all models have a high safety standard, use a ball-bearing fan and have zero-wear electronics.
How long is the guarantee?
The guarantee period is 24 months.
What are the advantages of the marine version?
The switches have waterproof caps and the control electronics are silicone sealed to prevent oxidation.
Why are the Ecomat 2000 models so quiet?
Only in the Ecomat 2000 fans are high-quality ball bearings used and not so-called friction bearings, which are usually twice as loud. In addition, ball-bearing fans have a very long service life. Because the thermostat is electronic, audible on and off clicks are also eliminated.
Can the Ecomat 2000 models be operated with 12 volts or on a solar system?
No, this is not possible.
Why is the Ecomat 2000 in the upper price segment?
The majority (+80%) of the components used are manufactured in Europe. The appliances are built in a German factory, and each individual appliance is subjected to a comprehensive functional and safety test before it goes on sale.
The high level of sustainability should also be mentioned, as even a 10-year-old appliance can be repaired in the event of damage. This conserves resources and makes an important contribution to protecting our climate.
Operating Ecomat2000 heaters with alternative power sources
Our Ecomat2000 heaters are initially designed for operation in the standard household electrical supply network.
For operation with alternative power sources, the special conditions of the respective manufacturer of these power sources must always be taken into account.
You will certainly understand that, given the large number of power supply systems available on the market (generators, power stations, operation via inverters), we are unable to make any statement on the compatibility of these products with our heaters. The manufacturer of the power station or inverter may be able to provide you with more detailed information. Please note that certain power supply criteria must be met for the Ecomat2000. You will find general information on this in the operating instructions for the Ecomat2000 heater (note: output power of the inverter must be at least 1,200 W when operating the Ecomat2000 heater at the 450 W level).
We generally advise you to take the appliances that are to be operated with an alternative power source to the selling dealer and try them out there before purchasing the supply unit.
